Team Member Spotlight

Matthew Luciani is a second-generation attorney on both sides of his family and gained exposure to legal issues at a young age. Matthew began clerking for a graduate of the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyer’s College while an undergraduate, gaining experience in various employment law topics, including NIL (Name, Image, Likeness), wrongful termination, and whistleblower issues.

He then spent time as a Financial Advisor, earning his Series 7 General Securities License and Series 66 Uniform Combined State Law License, as well as his Life and Health Insurance Licenses before attending Ave Maria School of Law, where he served on the school’s finance committee. Throughout law school and beginning his legal career, Matthew continued to work in Plaintiff, employment-related law. He draws on his experiences in finance and law to understand various issues affecting payments businesses and to be an effective litigator.

Matthew lives in San Diego with his dog, Stewie. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, traveling, and hiking.
