Team Member Spotlight

Bill is a Associate Attorney at Global Legal Law Firm and works in its electronic payments practice. Prior to joining Global Legal, Bill clerked for the DOJ where he provided recommendations to the United States Attorney’s Office in matters related to civil litigation defense, qui tam, and federal whistleblower actions. A scholar of the Bank Secrecy Act, Bill enjoys working with the top industry experts at Global Legal because doing so allows him to combine his legal knowledge with the experience he gained in the compliance field from prior to law school when he worked as an anti-money laundering management consultant.

In law school, Bill was a Legal Honors Program Intern for the SEC’s Division of Examinations where he developed competency in the capital markets and was exposed to the evolving regulatory landscape of cryptocurrency and disruptive FinTech. Bill graduated cum laude from California Western School of Law and earned four American Jurisprudence Awards for achieving the highest grade in four of his classes: (1) Corporate Finance, (2) Securities Regulation, (3) Advanced Legal Research, and (4) Administrative Law. Outside of his professional career, Bill enjoys bodybuilding, powerlifting, and playing rugby.
